11th World Green Economy Summit 2025 Opens in Dubai, Driving Global Sustainability Goals

The 11th World Green Economy Summit (WGES 2025) opened in Dubai, bringing together over 3,300 participants from more than 30 countries to advance the global green transition through innovation and collaboration.

Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre alongside WETEX 2025, the summit’s theme — “Innovating for Impact: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy” — focused on achieving net-zero emissions, boosting climate finance, and promoting green technologies.

More than 80 international speakers, including policymakers, investors, and thought leaders, discussed sustainable strategies across renewable energy, circular economy, and policy reforms. The summit also highlighted the vital role of SMEs in advancing eco-friendly innovation.

A key moment was the Arab Regional Climate Commitment, launched by the Arab Foundations Forum (AFF) to unite regional efforts for climate resilience. Meanwhile, the Global Alliance on Green Economy (GAGE) unveiled its 2024–2025 flagship initiatives to support countries in adopting greener economic models.

The event reaffirmed Dubai’s position as a global hub for sustainable development, driving accountability and collective action toward a cleaner, more equitable future.
