Hyderabad: On the occasion of his anniversary today, Telangana State Information Commissioner Boreddy Ayodhya Reddy was felicitated by members of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Legal Cell during a meeting held this evening in Hyderabad.
The delegation was led by Shashank Pasupuleti, who along with the legal cell team met Ayodhya Reddy to extend warm greetings and best wishes on the special occasion. The meeting also turned into a fruitful interaction where discussions were held on the functioning and importance of the Right to Information Act and the role of the RTI Commission in strengthening transparency and accountability in governance.
Members present during the meeting included Israel Yadav, Dinesh Maurya, Bhatti Bharat, and Shivaji Rai, who collectively conveyed their greetings and appreciation to Ayodhya Reddy on his anniversary.
Speaking on the occasion, Shashank Pasupuleti stated that the anniversary of Ayodhya Reddy provided a meaningful opportunity for members of the legal fraternity and public representatives to meet and exchange views on strengthening democratic institutions. He noted that the RTI Act remains one of the most effective legal tools available to citizens to ensure transparency in governance.
Israel Yadav, member of the TPCC Legal Cell, said that celebrating the anniversary of Ayodhya Reddy while discussing issues related to public transparency reflects the shared commitment towards democratic values. He emphasized that spreading awareness about RTI among the public will empower citizens to actively participate in governance and demand accountability.
Responding to the greetings, Ayodhya Reddy thanked the delegation for their visit on the occasion of his anniversary and highlighted the significance of the RTI Commission in safeguarding citizens’ right to access information. He encouraged legal professionals and social leaders to continue promoting awareness about RTI and its importance in a transparent democracy.
