Former CM KCR recovering from hip replacement surgery
BRS leader and former chief minister KCR has undergone successful hip replacement surgery at Yashoda Hospital. He is slowly recovering from his injury. After the operation, the doctors took him to a room and then tried to walk him around with a walker.
Following doctors’ advice, KCR walked with the help of a walker. The video, posted on Twitter by BRS, is going viral online. Yashoda’s doctors said KCR’s health would improve after the surgery. He proved to be one physically and mentally, strong on both fronts. They said he could be discharged in the next two or three days and would need 6 to 8 weeks of rest. Yashoda’s doctor Praveen said KCR required a few more days of physical therapy, including breathing exercises.
KCR had slipped and fallen in the bathroom at his Erravalli residence on Thursday night. Family members rushed him to Yashoda Hospital in Somajiguda. After conducting a CT scan and various medical tests, the doctors announced that his left femur was fractured, following which they performed a femur replacement surgery in the evening. The BRS party cadre expressed their happiness knowing that KCR’s health condition is stable and he is expected to recover soon.
