76th Constitution Day Celebrated with Grandeur at Telangana Tribal Welfare Law College, Sangareddy

Sangareddy, Telangana:

The Telangana Tribal Welfare Law College, Sangareddy, hosted a grand and dignified celebration of the 76th Constitution Day, reflecting deep respect for the ideals enshrined in the Indian Constitution and the vision of its framers. The programme witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, legal practitioners, and senior government officials.

The event was led by Shri Bakki Venkaiah, Chairman of the Telangana State SC/ST Commission, who attended as the Chief Guest. As the head of the statutory constitutional body responsible for safeguarding the rights of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, his presence added immense significance to the occasion. In his address, he urged students to uphold constitutional values, fight injustice, and dedicate themselves to social empowerment through the legal profession.

The programme was further dignified by the presence of esteemed Guests of Honour, including Smt. Soujanya, Senior Civil Judge, who spoke on the importance of judicial integrity and constitutional morality; Shri Paritosh Pankaj (IPS), who highlighted the role of police in protecting citizens’ rights and maintaining the rule of law; and Smt. P. Pravinya (IAS), District Collector, Sangareddy, who emphasized how constitutional governance forms the backbone of public administration and service delivery.

A mass Preamble pledge was administered during the event, with all dignitaries, staff, and students collectively reaffirming their commitment to the principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution of India.

The event was successfully organised by Aishwarya Raj and  Naresh, with the full support and guidance of Principal C. Srinivas Yadav, and in collaboration with the Samvidhan Sena Group. Their coordinated efforts ensured strong participation from students across the district and a smooth execution of the programme.

In a gesture aimed at motivating young legal aspirants, Advocate Naresh Rathod announced a cash reward of Rs. 50,000 for any student who secures admission into a National Law University through the CLAT examination, encouraging students to aim for excellence in legal education.

As part of the celebrations, quiz and essay competitions were conducted for Intermediate students on topics covering Constitutional values, Fundamental Rights and Duties, and the life and legacy of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The winners will be honoured at a scheduled felicitation ceremony in the coming days.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to promoting constitutional awareness and strengthening legal education, particularly among students from marginalized communities.
