India Integrates 1,938 e-Government Services Across All States

In a landmark step for the Digital India initiative, the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has successfully integrated 1,938 e-Government services across all 36 states and union territories on platforms like DigiLocker and e-District.

This integration enables citizens to access crucial services—such as birth, caste, income, and marriage certificates, welfare scheme applications, and utility bill payments—anytime, anywhere, reducing paperwork and ensuring greater transparency.

State Leaders in Integration:

  • Maharashtra: 254 services
  • Delhi: 123 services
  • Karnataka: 113 services
  • Assam: 102 services
  • Uttar Pradesh: 86 services

Platforms Powering Access:

  • DigiLocker: A secure digital document storage and sharing platform.
  • e-District: Digitizes district-level services, ensuring accessibility across urban and rural regions.

Looking ahead, NeGD plans to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make services more personalized, predictive, and inclusive—paving the way for smarter governance and stronger citizen empowerment.
