Congress Leaders Condole Demise of Pasupuleti Babu Rao, 10th Day Held on January 2

Senior Congress leader and TPCC Vice President Kota Neelima visited the residence of Shashank Pasupuleti to express her condolences on the demise of his father, Pasupuleti Babu Rao, a retired TSPDCL officer. She offered words of strength and guidance to the family, describing the loss as deeply painful and irreparable.

AIPC Leaders and Political Representatives Pay Tributes

Several leaders from the All India Professionals’ Congress and allied organisations also paid their respects. Those present included Prakash Rao, Vice President, AICC Data Analytics; Aditya Reddy, State President, AIPC Telangana; Navika Harshea National Head, AIPC; senior leader Irfan Aziz state leaders Bharath Sandeep Bhushan;  Santosh, Saikanth, Raghav, and Karthik Reddy. They expressed solidarity with the bereaved family and offered their condolences.

Political leaders, social activists, student representatives, and well-wishers from various sections of society attended, reflecting the wide respect and goodwill the family commands across public life.

Cross-Community Participation Reflects Shared Humanity

In a notable display of harmony, people from different regions and faiths, including members of the Christian community, joined the final rites, setting aside religious distinctions to stand with the grieving family. The gesture highlighted a spirit of compassion, unity, and mutual respect. As the death was sudden, the last rites were performed within a short time, though condolence visits and messages continued in the following days.

The 10th-day memorial service will be held on 2 January.

Life of Service in the Power Department

Pasupuleti Babu Rao served in the VST Electricity Department until his retirement in 2007 and was widely respected for his sincerity, discipline, and people-centric approach. Colleagues and locals recalled his habit of personally visiting field areas and sharing simple bellam tea in modest homes during inspections, reflecting his humility and closeness to ordinary citizens. His decades of service earned him lasting goodwill and admiration.

 

Seven Decades of Brotherhood Remembered

Pasupuleti hanumanth rao AND BABU RAOA deeply emotional moment during the final rites was the presence of Shri Pasupuleti Hanumanth Rao, elder paternal uncle (Pedananna) of Shashank Pasupuleti, Padma Shri awardee and Founder of Sree Kar Upkaar. Having shared nearly seven decades of life in a close-knit joint family, the bond between the two brothers was widely remembered. Family members recalled that Babu Rao took his elder brother’s name in his final moments, symbolising lifelong affection and trust.

Remembering P. Shalini’s Legacy of Compassion

 

Pasupuleti shaliniThe family had earlier endured the loss of P. Shalini, mother of Shashank Pasupuleti, who passed away during the Covid period in 2021. Widely remembered for her compassion and quiet dedication to service, she was actively associated with Mahila Shakti (Munni Aka Foundation)–related social initiatives.

During the pandemic, she played a crucial yet understated role in arranging food and tiffin boxes for hospital patients and their attendants. Anyone whose need came to her notice — through family, friends, or the wider community — received help without discrimination. Her efforts brought relief and dignity to many families during a time of fear and hardship.

Her spirit of service continues through her children, who are carrying forward her humanitarian work under the banner of the Munni Aka Foundation.
