The spirit of sportsmanship, discipline, and youthful energy took centre stage as Pallavi International School, Attapur celebrated its 15th Annual Sports Day “Khel Mahotsav” at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad. The grand event witnessed an overwhelming participation and attendance of nearly 2,000 students, parents, and visitors, transforming the stadium into a vibrant arena of enthusiasm and pride.
The day unfolded with a series of exhilarating track and field events, where students from various grades displayed remarkable agility, endurance, and competitive spirit. Beyond athletics, the programme offered a rich blend of co-curricular excellence, with students presenting visually striking performances in Karate, Skating, Dance, Abacus, Yoga, Keyboard, and colourful mass drills each segment reflecting months of preparation and teamwork.
Recognising holistic development, the school awarded five Inter-House Championship trophies across multiple categories, including Academic Excellence, Sports Championship, Literary Scholarship, and Artistic Excellence. Academic achievers were also celebrated, with three former students being felicitated for their exceptional performance in the 2025 CBSE Board Examinations. In addition, students excelling in sports such as throwball, kho-kho, and chess during the academic year 2025 were honoured with well-deserved awards.
The event was graced by Dr. Eugene George, renowned basketball head coach and Sports Director at YMCA Secunderabad, who encouraged students to actively pursue sports alongside academics, highlighting its role in shaping confident and resilient individuals. Guest of Honour Mr. Santosh Chary, International Swimming Medalist and Head Coach (Swimming) at the Sports Authority of Telangana State, Hyderabad, lauded the students for their discipline and strong team spirit, while stressing the need for a healthy balance between physical activity and screen time.
Addressing the gathering, Annapurna Koduru emphasised that sports play a crucial role in building character, instilling discipline, perseverance, and mental strength. Vice Principal Mrs. Anuradha Suraparaju appreciated the collective efforts of teachers, staff, and students, whose dedication ensured the seamless execution of the event.
The celebrations concluded on a high note with an electrifying closing dance performance followed by a vibrant New Year display, leaving the audience inspired and reaffirming the school’s commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals through academics, sports, and the arts.
