Every Vote Matters: Dr. Kota Neelima Leads Intensive Training for Booth Level Agents in Sanathnagar

CONGRESS HOLDS SPECIAL INTENSIVE REVISION TRAINING FOR BOOTH LEVEL AGENTS IN SANATHNAGAR, FLAGS CONCERNS OVER ELECTORAL IRREGULARITIES

Hyderabad:

In a significant outreach aimed at strengthening electoral vigilance, the Congress party conducted a comprehensive training and awareness programme on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls for Booth Level Agents (BLAs) at the Patigadda Multipurpose Function Hall in Begumpet Division under the Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency.

The programme was led by Sanathnagar Congress Party In-Charge Dr. Kota Neelima, who underscored the critical importance of maintaining accurate and transparent electoral rolls. She briefed participants on key aspects of the revision process, including the registration of new voters, correction of inaccuracies, removal of duplicate entries, and verification of voter records.

Dr kota Neelima BLA Training Addressing the gathering, Dr. Neelima said that the integrity of electoral rolls is central to the credibility of democratic elections. She urged Booth Level Agents to remain vigilant and ensure that every eligible voter is enrolled while preventing irregularities that could compromise the electoral process.

Khammam Member of Parliament Raghuram Reddy, who attended as the chief guest, stressed the pivotal role of grassroots workers in safeguarding democratic institutions. He called on party cadres to actively monitor voter lists and participate in verification drives to ensure transparency and accountability.

The training programme also reflected concerns repeatedly raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding alleged “vote chori” (vote theft) and electoral manipulation. Rahul Gandhi has claimed that electoral irregularities can occur through practices such as the inclusion of bogus or duplicate voters, unexplained additions or deletions of names from voter rolls, shifting of voters between constituencies without proper verification, and discrepancies between voter lists and actual polling data. He has argued that such issues, if left unchecked, can undermine public confidence in elections and distort democratic outcomes.

Citing these concerns, Congress leaders said Booth Level Agents must play a proactive role in identifying suspicious entries, verifying voter details at the ground level, and ensuring that genuine voters are not disenfranchised. They maintained that a rigorous revision process is essential to prevent any possibility of manipulation and to protect the sanctity of the electoral system.
