India has achieved a remarkable milestone in education by having seven schools shortlisted for the World’s Best School Prizes 2026, the highest number of schools selected from any country in a single year since the awards were launched in 2022.
Organized by the global education platform T4 Education, the World’s Best School Prizes recognize outstanding schools across five categories: Innovation, Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Supporting Healthy Lives, and Overcoming Adversity.
Among the Indian schools shortlisted, PCMC Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj English Medium School (Pune) and Army Goodwill School Wuzur (Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir) were recognized in the Innovation category. Healthy Planet TGA Early Years School (Noida), Inventure Academy (Bengaluru), and Seth M.R. Jaipuria School (Lucknow) were shortlisted for Community Collaboration. EuroSchool Bannerghatta (Bengaluru) earned a place in the Environmental Action category, while Seth Anandram Jaipuria School (Lucknow) was shortlisted for Supporting Healthy Lives.
The achievement highlights India’s growing excellence in education, innovation, community engagement, and student well-being. The final winners will be selected by an expert Judging Academy and announced in November 2026.
