AIPC TFTL Conference Raises Alarm Over AI Impact on Employment and Inequality

Hyderabad, February 28, 2026:
The All India Professionals’ Congress (AIPC) Telangana organised a Round Table Conference at the Press Club, Somajiguda under the “Together For Tech Lives (TFTL)” campaign on the theme “Governing AI’s Impact on Jobs: Risks, Rights & Reform.” The conference brought together leaders, professionals, and stakeholders to discuss the growing impact of Artificial Intelligence on employment, labour rights, and economic equity.

it pressure aipc Addressing the gathering, Nitignya Harkara, AIPC IT Head, observed that unchecked AI adoption is increasingly displacing jobs and widening inequality, stressing the need for human-centric safeguards. Raghavendar, AIPC Telangana Member, emphasised that technological advancement must move in parallel with strong labour protections and dignity for workers. Senior AIPC Leader Irfan Aziz cautioned that unregulated AI could concentrate power and deepen socio-economic disparities, calling for urgent pro-worker and regulatory reforms.

State President Aditya Reddy G highlighted the issue of algorithmic exploitation of gig and platform workers and advocated for fair wages, transparency, and social security.

Shashank Pasupuleti, MSME State Head, highlighted the need to protect MSMEs from AI-led disruptions and ensure inclusive growth in the digital economy.

Maria Tabassum, State Head of Academia, stressed the importance of academic collaboration, reskilling, and preparing youth for the evolving AI-driven job landscape.

Stakeholders from industry, academia, civil society, and youth representatives collectively underlined the importance of ethical, transparent, and accountable AI governance along with reskilling initiatives and social protection measures. The conference concluded with a strong call for responsible AI regulation, fair transition policies, and inclusive technological progress that safeguards livelihoods.

The programme also witnessed the participation of Ali, Naresh, Sravan, Raj Siricilla, and Uma, reflecting diverse engagement from organizational and professional representatives.
