AP MLC Sheik Sabji Died in Road Accident En Route to Anganwadi Protest Program

Teacher’s MLC Sheik Sabji Died in Road Accident

In a tragic incident, Sheik Sabji, a Teachers’ MLC (Member of Legislative Council) and senior leader of the UTF (United Teachers Federation), lost his life in a road accident. The accident occurred while he was on his way to a protest program for Anganwadi workers in Bhimavaram. The mishap took place near Cherukuvada in the Undi Mandal of West Godavari district when an oncoming car collided with his vehicle.

when the speeding car was traveling from Bhimavaram to Akiveedu lost control and crashed into MLC’s vehicle, leading to his immediate demise. The car’s driver, gunman, and his personal assistant sustained severe injuries and were quickly rushed to the Bhimavaram government hospital in an ambulance. The accident site was inspected by Undi Assistant Sub-Inspector Suryanarayana and other officials.

The news of MLC Sheik Sabji’s death reached the cabinet meeting in progress, leaving the Chief Minister and other ministers in profound shock. They observed two minutes of silence to mourn his passing. And also, TDP Chief Chandrababu expressed his condolences, lamenting the loss of a leader who supported the Anganwadi workers’ struggle.

The Life Journey of MLC Sheik Sabji

Born in 1966, In Eluru of the united West Godavari district, Sheik Sabji began his career as a school assistant in Madepalli’s high school. Opting for voluntary retirement with five years of service remaining, he resigned to dedicate himself fully to educational and political activism. He served as the state president of the UTF. Under his leadership, In 2019 a march from Eluru to Vijayawada was organized by the UTF, advocating for the abolishment of the CPS (Contributory Pension Scheme).
