Arrangements for counting are complete: DEO Ronald Rose 

Hyderabad: District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that all the arrangements related to the counting process of votes in Hyderabad district have been completed. 16 counting centers are set up in 13 locations in the district. 

He said that 20 tables have been set up in the Jubilee Hills Assembly segment and 14 tables each in the other Assembly segments for the counting of votes. He said that the counting of votes will be done in Yakutpura Assembly segment in the highest 24 rounds and Charminar Assembly segment in the lowest 15 rounds.

It has been clarified that no items and mobile phones are allowed inside the counting centers and there will be tight security. 

He said that the Central Election Commission has allotted one Observer to each assembly segment. He said that there will be two micro-observers at the observer table, and there will be a counting supervisor, counting assistant and micro-observer at each counting table. He said that strong rooms will be opened in the morning on 4th in the presence of agents of political parties.

It is mentioned that counting of postal ballot votes will be done in separate hall in three assembly segment centres. He said that the counting of postal ballot votes for Hyderabad Parliamentary Constituency will be done at the Charminar Assembly Segment Vote Counting Center set up at Kamalanehru Women’s Polytechnic College, Nampally Exhibition Grounds and Secunderabad Assembly Segment Vote Counting Center set up at Osmania University Center for Distance Education for Secunderabad Parliament Constituency. .

In connection with the Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly by-election at the counting center set up at CSIIT, Wesley College, Secunderabad.

 He said that the counting of EVM votes in the rest of the Assembly where postal ballot votes are not counted will start at 8 am everywhere.  He said that the counting of VV votes will start at 8.30 am in the constituency where postal ballot voting is conducted. In the presence of an observer, five VV Pats will be randomly selected and the polling station slips will be counted.

1200 counting staff and more than 1000 other staff have been appointed for the counting of votes in the district. He said that the data will be entered in the Encore App after the completion of each round and an official communication room, media center and public communication room will be set up at each counting center.

Ronald Rose explained that armed measures have been taken to ensure that the counting of votes is done smoothly. 

Hyderabad District Collector, Returning Officer Anudeep Durishetti, Hyderabad Additional Collector, Secunderabad Returning Officer Hemant Keshav Patil, District Election Commissioner Alivelu Mangatayaru, Hyderabad RDO Mahipal Reddy participated in this program.
