Bahuda Yatra, the return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Goddess Subhadra, will be celebrated on July 5, 2025. It marks the concluding part of the grand Rath Yatra festival and holds deep spiritual significance for millions of devotees around the world.
After spending seven days at the Gundicha Temple, the deities begin their sacred return to the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri, Odisha. They travel in their majestic wooden chariots: Nandighosha for Jagannath, Taladhwaja for Balabhadra, and Darpadalan for Subhadra.
Spiritual Significance
Bahuda Yatra is believed to symbolise the restoration of cosmic harmony and the divine reunion of the deities with their home and Goddess Lakshmi. The day is filled with rituals, devotion, and heartfelt celebration.

Ritual Timeline:

- Dakshina Moda (Turning of Chariots) – July 2–3, 2025
