Telangana Bar Council Requests Immediate Transfer of 100 Crores Corpus Trust Fund
In a significant development, the CM led by Chairman of Telangana Bar Council Shri A. Narasimha Reddy convened a meeting with Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State Shri A. Revanta Reddy at the Secretariat. Dignitaries like P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy (Member of the Bar Council of India) and Vice President K. Sunil Gowda and all 22 members of the Telangana State Bar Council attended the meeting
During the meeting Bar Council members collectively put forth several crucial requests. They urged for the immediate transfer of the existing 100 Crores Corpus Trust Fund to the Bar Council of Telangana. Furthermore, they appealed for an annual grant of 100 Crores, as promised in the Congress Election Manifesto, to support the activities of the Bar Council. Additionally, the Bar Council members requested the provision of a stipend of Rs. 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) to Junior Advocates.
Responding positively to the proposals, the Hon’ble Chief Minister assured the Bar Council delegation that the State Government is fully prepared to entrust Welfare Activities to the State Bar Council exclusively. In a proactive move, he directed his Personal Secretary, Seshadri IAS, to take necessary actions without delay.
Expressing their appreciation for the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s favorable response, the representatives of the Bar Council wished him a successful tenure. The Chief Minister affirmed that he would thoroughly examine all the requests presented by the Bar Council delegation. P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Member of the Bar Council of India, who participated in the meeting, confirmed this significant development .
