Bisakhi Mela at Hitex

Hyderabad: On Sunday, the Telangana Punjabi Sabha (TPS) brought the Baisakhi Mela to life in the spacious Hitex Exhibition Center in Madhapur. People of all ages gathered for this event.

Participants were captivated by the joy, music, dancing, palatable dishes and the whole atmosphere. The event started with Bhangra, a very popular Punjabi dance form, at the hall entrance. Their dance moves and Punjabi music were very entertaining and enjoyable. On the course of the occasion Telangana Punjabi Sabha members and their families also appeared to be dancing and have fun.

The concert was an absolute hit with the audience, and the star performer stole the show. The crowd was mesmerized by the singing of the famous vocalist Kushboo who won the hearts of the listeners with her emotional songs. It was Meet Bros’ turn to be the centre of attention as they performed according to the critics’ expectations.

Zumba and dance lessons were taught and there were also dance performances for the visitors. The performances brightened up the dance floor with the participants shaking their bodies in the rhythm of the music. Towards the latter part, the world-famed band Capriccio took over and performed a mashup of Bollywood and Tollywood songs. TPS President S. Ravinder Singh is going to start the annual magazine, “Rooh Punjab Dee,” in which upcoming projects and activities are published.

The Baisakhi festival turned out to be a wonderful as well as the elegant one for the participants. In Punjab, India, Baisakhi, known as Vaisakhi in Sikh tradition, is an important festival that is celebrated both to mark the formation of the Khalsa Panth in 1699 and the harvest season and cultural heritage. Walking, singing, cooking, family reunions, and traditional dressing are some of the activities that are included in the celebration.
