This achievement follows his historic flight near the revered Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil in 2022, solidifying his status as a pioneer in the world of aerial sports.
An avid traveler, Sukumar has explored diverse landscapes across Thailand, Laos, Egypt, Brazil, Nepal, and various regions in India. His mission is clear: to promote paramotoring and paragliding while sharing the joys and advantages of being an aerial sports pilot. Each of his flights serves as an invitation for others to embrace the thrill of the skies.
Beyond his aerial pursuits, Sukumar is passionate about merging aero sports with cultural celebrations. He actively participates in festivals such as Bathukamma, Mysore Dussehra, and Telangana Formation Day, connecting these vibrant events to tourism and sports. “These celebrations not only enrich our culture but also showcase the beauty of aerial sports,” he explains.
Sukumar’s journey has not been without obstacles. “I encountered financial challenges while flying in different countries,” he admits. To fuel his passion, he taught freelance classes, saving diligently to represent India on the global stage. Born on August 15, he embodies the spirit of independence and resilience with every flight he takes.
Looking ahead, Sukumar is set to launch a startup called Vertical World, aimed at inspiring young individuals to pursue careers in aero sports. “I aspire to serve my nation by training young pilots who can proudly represent India internationally,” he emphasizes, highlighting the promising career opportunities within this exhilarating field.
Having represented India at the World Championship in Brazil, Sukumar dreams of organizing similar events in India, contingent on receiving the necessary support. “I’ve had the pleasure of hosting pilots from around the world in Telangana, and I would love to elevate Indian talent on a grander platform,” he shares passionately.
