The director of Natural Star Nani’s upcoming film ‘Dasara, Srikanth Odela, hardly opens his mouth. Probably his inexperience in the craft is what defines him when it comes to speaking before the media. But that can be a blessing for him for various reasons.
When asked about the controversy surrounding the popular single Chamkeela Angeelesi’, Srikanth replied with a simple statement that he is not aware of what is going on social media.
“I’ve a lot of friends who belong to Andhra. Being a Telanganite hailing from a remote village near Godavarikhani doesn’t mean that I don’t know the other side of the coin. I happened to work with people who hailed from Andhra Pradesh. So I didn’t find anything wrong that can stir a controversy out of the song or the lyrics.”
Directed by debutante Srikanth Odela, ‘Dasara’ is going to release in theatres on March 30. The film already touched sky-high expectations following the hype that the film has created across social media platforms.
Starring Keerthy Suresh, Samuthirakani, Deekshith Shetty, Malayalam star Shine Tom Chacko, and Telugu news anchor-turned-actress Jhansi in the key roles, the film is about a village drama that happens in the heart of the Singareni collieries of Telangana region.
