Elon Musk has announced the formation of a new political party — the America Party — aiming to challenge the dominance of the US two-party system. Revealed via his platform X, Musk said the party will fight for freedom, reduce wasteful spending, and tackle corruption.
The move follows a public fallout with former President Donald Trump, especially over a new tax and spending bill that excludes support for electric vehicles and green energy — key sectors for Musk’s businesses. Trump, in turn, criticized Musk for relying on subsidies and hinted at possible investigations.
Though not yet registered with the Federal Electoral Commission, Musk’s bold step could reshape political discourse as the nation heads toward the next elections.
