Friends Panel Releases Manifesto for Hyderabad Press Club Elections

Hyderabad: The Friends Panel, one of the key groups contesting the upcoming Hyderabad Press Club elections, has released its manifesto outlining its vision and priorities for the club’s development and member welfare.

The panel has emphasized the need for clean and upgraded facilities, identifying health and recreation as top priorities. Among its notable proposals is the introduction of a Rs. 5 lakh health insurance cover for club members, aimed at enhancing the welfare and security of journalists associated with the Press Club.

In its manifesto, the panel stated that effective leadership and regular on-ground involvement are essential for the efficient functioning of the club. The document calls on members to elect committee representatives who are active, accountable, and dedicated to improving the club’s infrastructure and operations.

“Our goal is to transform the Press Club into a vibrant space that serves the needs of all members while maintaining its legacy and relevance,” the panel noted in its statement.
