DPS Nacharam Hosts CBSE-led State Level Conference on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy
Delhi Public School Nacharam proudly hosted the CBSE-led state level conference on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). The event, organized to commemorate India’s G-20 presidency, witnessed the participation of 50 principals and 234 teachers.
The conference began with an invocation, followed by speeches from the Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of DPS Nacharam. The Chief Guest, Mr. Basuthkar Jagadeeshwar Rao, Vice Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad, highlighted India’s digitalization efforts and its economic potential. Prof. Sumita Roy from OU discussed inclusivity in education, while Ms. Shanta Thoutham, Chief Innovation Officer of the Government of Telangana, stressed the importance of creativity in schools.
A panel discussion moderated by an innovation analyst featured insights from education experts and industry professionals. The conference also included an online session on art integration by SAPA founders, highlighting music’s role in education.
DPS organized various Janbhagidari events, such as senior secondary students teaching primary classes and hosting an FLN reading festival. A painting competition on the G-20 theme was also held. The program concluded with closing remarks from the Sr. Principal of DPS Nacharam.
