Physician and vice president of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery Dr. Paulo Martin says there is a shift in behavior among the younger generation regarding the facial procedures.
He believes that the popularity of the beauty market may be the reason behind this change. He sees this shift as a positive development, and adds that skincare should be done correctly. Many young people are now practicing skin care from an early age to prevent serious issues later. However, Dr. Martin warns that it’s essential to have a professional supervise this routine and tailor the products according to age.
“It’s interesting to note that more young people are adopting the practice of taking care of their skin from an early age to prevent issues that could become irreversible later on. According to Dr. Paulo Martin, the younger generation prefers to be themselves rather than follow the prevailing market trends. They are more inclined to embrace their characteristics rather than going for surgical procedures. Chemical peels, facial cleansing, and hyaluronic acid skincare are the nowadays the most popular alternatives.
However, Dr. Martin says that exercising caution and seeking medical guidance before actually using these techniques is important.
