Huge rush of devotees at the world’s biggest Shani statue in Telangana

On Saturday, hundreds of devotees from Telangana and neighboring states thronged the Shani Shakti Dham in Mamidilli near Sangareddy. Devotees are expected to rush till the end of March. Shani Shaktidham is the largest idol of Lord Saturn cut from a single stone in the world.

It is believed that devotees who pray to Shani Shakti Dham, will enjoy longevity, longevity and success. It is a long-standing tradition for people to gather in large numbers to pray on new and full moon days.

Since Sunday happens to be ‘Ekadasi’ and also coincides with solar eclipse and Amavasya day, the temple is heavily rushed by people Shani Triyodashi, Shani Amavasya and Shani Jayanti are important festivals celebrated in this temple . . . . During the recent Sunday celebration, more than 10,000 people participated in the pujas, Havans and Thaila Abhisheks held at the temple.

People from all over the world visit the temple to wash away their sins and bless Lord Shani to remove problems in their lives, says Thakur Surya Pratap Singh, founder and Peetadhipati. Locals including Upa-Pitadhipati Sudhir Singh, Dr Sunil Singh and Dr Shakti Singh participate in the refinement of the rituals inside the temple.
