Hyderabad Metro celebrates 50 crore passengers

Hyderabad: L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (L&TMRHL) declared a new milestone in its journey of delivering services to the public. They have completed 50 crore passenger journeys since their inception. This accomplishment and an elevated passenger experience is what L&TMRHL brings as the Green Miles Loyalty Club, Hyderabad’s first public transport loyalty program.

Mr. NVS Reddy, MD, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL), stated: “We are delighted to celebrate this significant milestone of 50 crore passenger journeys. This achievement reflects the growing trust and preference for Hyderabad Metro as a safe, reliable, and convenient mode of travel. The launch of the Loyalty Program underscores our commitment, to continuously improve the passenger experience and reward our regular commuters.”

Green Miles Loyalty Club: A Commitment to Passenger Experience

The Green Miles Loyalty Club is a customer loyalty program designed to revolutionize the way commuters experience public transportation in Hyderabad. This program aims to:

• Reward Regular Passengers: During months, travelers will receive points with the smart cards according to the number of journeys they have made. The loyalty points can be exchanged for the coolest offers that could be a free trip, merchandise, and lucky draw prizes.

• Foster a Sense of Community: The program makes a rider feel as if s/he is no longer a stranger who is just traveling in a vehicle; rather s/he becomes an integral member of the metro community.

• Promote Sustainable Travel: Through the initiative of travelers to use the train system, the program is promoting a change in the more sustainable mode of transportation and decongesting traffic and carbon emission.

Customer Loyalty Program and its Working

• Eligibility: A program is open to the public that is using smart cards for travel. Each trip will be counted in the calendar month and to qualify for a particular rewards tier, passengers are needed to complete the required number of trips for the three consecutive months.

• Loyalty Bands: The program has three tiers Silver, Gold, as well as Platinum. Each level has its unique trip requirements and offers a range in privileges such as free trips, luxurious items, and lucky draw contests which rewards with attractive prizes.
