In a significant breakthrough, Hyderabad’s Hayathnagar Police have apprehended Advocate Anees Fatima Zakaria, a repeat offender with a lengthy record of serious criminal activities. The arrest follows a non-bailable warrant that has been outstanding since March 10, 2010. Anees Fatima Zakaria, also known as Fatima A, is implicated in a series of high-profile cases across multiple jurisdictions, including a 2004 dacoity under Bahadurpura Police (FIR 53/2004), a 2008 kidnapping under Saidabad Police (FIR 120/2008), and criminal trespass and fraudulent property dealings under Saifabad Police in 2022 (FIR 77/2022).Police reports detail that her arrest relates specifically to FIR 542/2007, where she allegedly committed fraud by selling her younger sister’s property to an unsuspecting third party through deception and misrepresentation. Additional investigations under Saifabad PS (FIR 77/2022) suggest she misused her legal knowledge to illegally register a prime property belonging to her nephew, Husain Ahmed Husain Saleh Al Breiki, in the name of her son, Imran Zakaria, raising concerns about her repeated exploitation of legal expertise for financial gain.Anees Fatima Zakaria now faces charges under Sections 420 (cheating), 468 (forgery), and 471 (using forged documents as genuine) of the Indian Penal Code. She has been remanded to judicial custody until November 11, 2024, as investigations continue into her alleged involvement in these cases.
