India Showcases Jewellery Strength at SAJEX 2025 in Saudi Arabia
In a major push to expand India’s footprint in the global jewellery market, the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) launched the Saudi Arabia Jewellery Exposition (SAJEX) 2025 in Jeddah. Organized with support from the Indian Consulate in Jeddah, the Embassy in Riyadh, and the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the event highlights India’s growing trade ties with Saudi Arabia and the GCC region.
Held at the Jeddah Superdome from September 11–13, 2025, SAJEX features 200+ exhibitors, 250 booths, and over 2,000 international buyers. Exhibits include diamond and gemstone jewellery, bridal collections, gold jewellery in multiple karats, lab-grown diamonds, and the latest jewellery-making technologies.
India’s jewellery industry remains a global leader, exporting $32 billion worth of gems and jewellery in FY 2024–25. With 65% of global diamond value and 92% of diamond trade volume, India continues to dominate the sector while attracting record FDI inflows.
Saudi Arabia, under its Vision 2030 roadmap, is witnessing rapid growth in its jewellery market, projected to expand from $4.56 billion in 2024 to $8.34 billion by 2030. SAJEX 2025 positions India as a key partner in this transformation, strengthening bilateral trade and boosting India’s role in the luxury markets of the Middle East.
