Hyderabad: Finally, the residents of Telangana are going to have some relief after being subjected to high temperatures for 10 days and more. This will be as the rainfall and thunderstorms make their way in the area. India Meteorological Department- Hyderabad has given a warning in the State for the next three days and the alert is yellow.
The disturbances are predicted to begin on May 6, with the thunderstorms in Telangana spanning 3 days from May 6 to May 9, affecting most of the districts with lighting and squalls. While an orange alert has been issued for Monday, it means that these few districts in Telangana will experience a heat wave.
As per the IMD Hyderabad forecast, isolated districts of Adilabad, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityal, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapally, Mulugu, and Jogulamba Gadwal of Telangana are going to be under the influence of long-lasting heat-wave
Temperature in Telangana reaches 47.1 degrees Celsius
As for Sunday, temperatures above 45C were recorded in more than 70 different areas in about 15 districts of the state.
The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) reported that the temperature for the Velgatoor area in Jagtial was 47.1 degree Celsius. Godhuru and Allipur in Jagityal had a close temperature to it at 46.8 degree Celsius and 46.7 degree Celsius, respectively.
In addition, other rainfall was witnessed in scattered places of Khammam, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mahabubabad, Warangal and Hanmakonda districts. Hyderabad registered a maximum temperature of 42.8 degree Celsius on Sunday and Golconda and Kukatpally recorded 44 degree celsius. Saroornagar reached a temperature of 43.8 degree Celsius while Asifnagar hit a high of 43.6 degree Celsius.
When thunderstorms are over, the temperatures would reach from 41C to 44C in the districts. And it would range from 36C to 40C in Hyderabad.
