Last date to update Aadhar for free is June 14

Hyderabad: UIDAI authorities are offering  the service of uploading documents for free available until 14 of June. ID cards, documentation, etc. are covered.
In a post on X on May 6, UIDAI stated that the free service is available on the myAadhaar website. “#UIDAI is letting people upload documents for free online until June 14, 2024, to help millions of Aadhaar card holders. You can use this free service only on the #myAadhaar website. UIDAI wants people to keep their documents up-to-date on their Aadhaar cards,” it read.

Steps for updating Aadhaar card

Once you have entered the OTP (one-time password) that was only sent to your registered phone number, continue to myAadhaar website.Check the documents you have there. If they are not accurate, follow these below mentioned steps:If they are not quite right, then the steps are as follows:
1. Select from the proposed list of identity documents using the drop-down list.

2. Paste the document you prefer in any formats like PNG, JPEG, or PDF in a way that the file size does not exceed 2 MB.
3. Select the Address file from the combo box.
4. Type in the address. The file should be in PNG, JPEG, or PDF format. The size of the file should not be more than 2MB. Then, upload the document.
5. That’s it! Click on ‘Submit’ to check if your documents are all ready.

Aadhar card has become a necessity to avail benefits of different government schemes and it also works as ID proof and address proof. Kiosk Aadhaar upgrading will enable you to overcome any possible gaps in the services and benefits that are linked with your Aadhaar number, such as PAN, bank account, PF, scholarship, LPG subsidy, etc.
