Mahakali ACP Sardar Singh Receives Memorandum from Ganesh Utsav Samithi for Festival Support

Secunderbad — The Ganesh Utsav Samithi has formally submitted a memorandum to ACP Sardar Singh of the Mahakali Police Station, requesting comprehensive support to ensure a safe and organized Ganesh Chaturthi celebration within the ACP’s jurisdiction. The memorandum highlights the need for road patchwork, safety measures, and maintenance of designated festival routes.

During the meeting, ACP Singh acknowledged the significance of the festival, recalling its historical role in uniting communities as envisioned by freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak. Tilak had famously used the festival as a platform for social cohesion and national unity.

In his address, ACP Singh proposed a collaborative approach for celebrations within residential colonies. He suggested that if multiple Ganesh idols are present in a colony, they should come together to celebrate as one, incorporating all cultural activities over the 11-day festival. This approach aims to foster a family-like atmosphere and strengthen community bonds.

The meeting saw notable participation from Ganesh Utsav Samithi members, including Seelam Anurag from the Youth Congress and Shashank Paspupuleti, Vice President of BC Youth Telangana. Their presence underscored the commitment to ensuring a harmonious and well-coordinated festival experience for all.

ACP Singh’s recommendations and the collaborative efforts with the Ganesh Utsav Samithi aim to enhance the festival’s celebration while ensuring safety and unity within the community.
