In the 129th episode of Mann Ki Baat, aired on 28 December 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a wide-ranging address reflecting on India’s achievements during the year and outlining collective aspirations for the future. As the final episode of 2025, the address reaffirmed the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), blending themes of national pride, youth power, culture, science, environment, and grassroots transformation.

The Prime Minister described 2025 as a year of national pride, citing India’s strong global footprint in national security, sports, science, space, and culture. He highlighted Operation Sindoor as a symbol of India’s firm stance on security and recalled the nationwide celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram. India’s sporting success also featured prominently, including historic victories by the men’s and women’s cricket teams and achievements in para-sports.

In science and environment, PM Modi noted milestones such as India’s first astronaut reaching the International Space Station and the growth of the cheetah population beyond 30, reflecting conservation success. Cultural and spiritual events like the Prayagraj Mahakumbh and the Dhwajarohan ceremony at the Ram Mandir strengthened India’s cultural confidence, alongside growing enthusiasm for Swadeshi products.

Calling youth India’s greatest strength, the Prime Minister highlighted initiatives like the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue and the Smart India Hackathon, which has engaged over 13 lakh students in solving real-world challenges. He also shared inspiring grassroots stories, renewable energy efforts under PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and the role of traditional arts and GI-tagged products in women’s empowerment.
