Massive Transnational Drug Network Busted in Multi-City Operation

A major drug trafficking network operated by Nigerian nationals has been dismantled in one of India’s biggest anti-narcotics crackdowns of the year. The multi-agency Operation Eagle Force led to coordinated raids across Delhi, Noida, Gwalior and Visakhapatnam, resulting in more than 50 arrests and the seizure of narcotics worth several crores.

The joint operation, conducted by Eagle Force Telangana, the Narcotics Control Bureau, the Delhi Police Crime Branch and the Noida Police, exposed a sophisticated financial web behind the cartel’s activities. Investigators traced 59 mule accounts used for rapid money movement, with credits amounting to several crores—revealing an extensive laundering mechanism supporting the trade.

The syndicate largely operated out of densely populated pockets in Delhi and exploited major courier companies to move drugs hidden inside garments, footwear and cosmetic products. Multiple parcels containing MDMA and cocaine were intercepted, highlighting the scale and reach of the network.

Operation Eagle Force marks a significant step forward in disrupting transnational narcotics trafficking and the misuse of courier services for illegal distribution.
