Micro observers trained for elections

Hyderabad: The training session for Micro Observers which is an integral part of the parliamentary elections was done at Komaram Bheem Adivasi Bhawan in Banjara Hills on a Monday. In addition to citing their roles and responsibilities, District Election Officer Ronald Rose and General Election Observer Srividya also gave some inputs and suggestions.

Rs. 2.94 lakh money intercepted on Sunday

A total of Rs. 2.Enforcement authorities seized total cash amount of Rs. 94 lakh in cash on Sunday, along with Rs. 17.60 liters of liquor and a total of 46,415 worth of valuables. The FIRs were registered against the three persons in the list of the five election-related complaints.

So far, Rs. 22.6 crore cash and valuables valued at a total of Rs.17.80 crore were seized.

Meanwhile, State Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj asked the election officers to work hard to increase the voting percentage in the Hyderabad district. He along with senior officers participated in the bike taxi rally organised by Rapido at LB Stadium on Monday.

 

With a low voter percentage in Hyderabad, the CEO emphasized on awareness programs and gave a target of 60 to 65 percent voting in the upcoming elections.

District Election Officer Ronald Rose stated that a special incharge has been appointed for each polling station to ensure that all the necessary facilities are arranged, especially drinking water, medical camps, and chairs with shamiana.
