NAVYA Pilot Programme Launched to Skill Young Girls in Non-Traditional Jobs

In line with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047, the Ministry of Women & Child Development and the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship will jointly launch NAVYA (Nurturing Aspirations through Vocational Training for Young Adolescent Girls), 24th June 2025 – Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh.

NAVYA is a pilot programme to skill girls aged 16–18 (Class 10 pass) in non-traditional job roles. It will be implemented in 27 districts across 19 states, focusing on aspirational and North-Eastern regions.

The programme will draw support from PMKVY and other flagship schemes. The launch event includes interactions with trainees, and distribution of PMKVY and PM Vishwakarma certificates.
