“My Politics Is Congress, My Service Is DMSS”: Shashank Pasupuleti Urges Public Not to Politicise a 100-Year-Old Legacy

“I Am, and Will Always Be, a Congress Worker”

Hyderabad: Rejecting attempts to politicise the Deccan Maanav Seva Samiti (DMSS), TPCC State Legal Coordinator, AIPC Telangana MSME State President and DMSS General Secretary Shri Shashank Pasupuleti reaffirmed that his political commitment remains exclusively with the Indian National Congress, while his association with DMSS is dedicated solely to social, religious and community service.

Addressing a press conference, Shashank stated, “I am, and will always be, a Congress worker. My politics is Congress, and my service is DMSS.” He appealed to the public not to drag the nearly 100-year-old Deccan Maanav Seva Samiti, established in 1926, into political controversies.

Expressing complete faith in the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy, Shashank said he continues to work for the Congress Party under the guidance of Dr. Kota Neelima. He further stated that Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy has consistently encouraged and supported several service-oriented organisations across Telangana.

Expressing complete faith in the leadership of Telangana Chief Minister Shri A. Revanth Reddy, Shashank said he continues to work for the Congress Party under the guidance of Dr. Kota Neelima.

He added that the Chief Minister has consistently encouraged service-oriented organisations across Telangana, including Deccan Maanav Seva Samiti (DMSS), recognising their valuable contributions to public welfare, social harmony, and the preservation of Telangana’s cultural heritage.

Continuing a Legacy of Service

Recalling his family’s decades-long association with DMSS, Shashank paid tribute to Late Shri Seelam Ramdas, former MLA and former HUDA Chairman, for his outstanding contribution to the growth of the organisation. He also remembered Late Shri Seelam Prabhakar, former Corporator and former TPCC Secretary, for his dedicated service to the Congress Party, DMSS and Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple, stating that carrying forward their legacy of public service is both an honour and a responsibility.

Leadership Is Temporary, Service Is Permanent

Clarifying the organisational structure, Shashank explained that Shri Talasani Srinivas Yadav is serving only as the Acting President of DMSS for a one-year term. He said this honorary responsibility changes every year and is entrusted to another distinguished personality who has rendered exceptional service to Sri Ujjaini Mahankali Temple and DMSS, in keeping with the organisation’s long-standing tradition.

Senior DMSS members Shri Hari Babu Yadav, Shri Vijayender Naidu, Shri T. Vasundar Mohan, Shri Sathyanarayana Verma, Shri S. G. Chidambaram, Shri S. G. Vishal, Shri Jairaj and Shri Jupally Venkatesh participated in the press conference and extended their support for preserving the organisation’s non-political and service-oriented character.

Concluding his address, Shashank urged the public to protect the century-old legacy of DMSS from unnecessary political controversies. He warned that any false propaganda against the organisation or its legacy would be dealt with through appropriate legal means.

DMSS belongs to society, not to any political party, and its century-old legacy must continue to inspire future generations,” Shashank Pasupuleti said.
