PANKHUDI Portal Launched to Strengthen Women and Child Development in India

The Ministry of Women and Child Development has launched PANKHUDI, a digital portal aimed at enhancing the welfare and empowerment of women and children across India. Launched on 8 January 2026 by Union Minister Smt. Annpurna Devi, the platform brings together government agencies, citizens, NGOs, NRIs and corporate contributors on a single digital interface.

PANKHUDI functions as a single-window platform that enables stakeholders to contribute to women and child development initiatives in a transparent and accountable manner. It supports collaboration in key areas such as nutrition, health, early childhood care, child protection and women’s empowerment, while allowing contributors to register, submit proposals and track progress digitally.

The portal strengthens flagship missions including Mission Saksham Anganwadi & Poshan 2.0, Mission Vatsalya, and Mission Shakti. By promoting non-cash contributions, real-time monitoring and better coordination, PANKHUDI aims to improve infrastructure, service delivery and outcomes across thousands of Anganwadi Centres, Child Care Institutions and women support facilities nationwide.
