Visakhapatnam: A physical educational teacher(PET) has been arrested for raping and impregnating a minor school girl.
This incident took place under the PM Palem police station limits in Visakhapatnam.
When the victim’ parents found that the girl was pregnant. She was taken to the hospital for checkup. The accused was identified as B.D. Prasad.
The accused is 32-year-old and he is working as a physical educational teacher of a private school. He is giving throwball coaching at the school.
According to the police, accused man giving throwball coaching to the victim who is studying 9th grade in the school.
in January, when the girl went to school for the throwball practice, the PET took her to his home and sexually assaulted her.
Assistant Commissioner of Police(North zone) told that the victim was 14years old. The accused trapped the minor guise of coaching.
The accused arrested after the victim parents complaint. The accused was booked under the sections of 376 of IPC.
ACP said that, the case was transferred to Disha police station for further investigation.
Following the incident there was an outrage among the women activists and public in the city over the incident.
The activists of various women’s Organizations demanded stringent action against the accuse PET, and demanding strong action against school Management to deter such incidents in the future.
