Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again solidified his stature on the global stage by emerging as the world’s most popular democratic leader, boasting an impressive 75% approval rating, according to a survey conducted by US-based data analytics firm Morning Consult.
The global survey, which analyzed public sentiment from July 4 to July 10, 2025, placed PM Modi significantly ahead of his international counterparts. South Korean President Lee Jae-myung came in second with a 59% approval rating, while Argentine President Javier Milei secured the third position at 57%.
The survey is part of Morning Consult’s Global Leader Approval Rating Tracker, which monitors the approval levels of prominent democratic leaders through a rolling seven-day average based on feedback from adult populations in each respective country.
PM Modi, who began his third consecutive term in May 2024, continues to command remarkable support, reflecting not only his popularity at home but also growing global recognition. His sustained leadership and strategic international outreach have resonated widely with both Indian citizens and the global community.
US President Donald Trump, who returned to office in 2024, was ranked eighth, receiving only 44% approval in the survey.
This remarkable rating also coincides with a historical milestone in PM Modi’s political career. As of July 26, 2025, he has completed 4,079 days in office, making him India’s second-longest-serving Prime Minister in an uninterrupted term, surpassing Indira Gandhi. He is now second only to Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister.
As global democracies face evolving challenges, PM Modi’s continued rise in popularity reflects a strong endorsement of his leadership, both at the national and international levels.
