Poll teams ready for the D-Day

Hyderabad: As part of the arrangements for conducting the elections, the polling staff on Saturday completed the third round of randomization process in the presence of the General Election Observers.

On Saturday, under the leadership of District Election Officer Ronald Rose, the third randomization process was conducted in his chamber following the rules of the Election Commission. Hyderabad, Secunderabad General Observers. Randomization was conducted in the presence of I. Srividya and Dr. Saroj Kumar.

Teams consisting of presiding, assistant presiding officers and POs have been assigned through randomization in the polling centers under the jurisdiction of Hyderabad, Secunderabad Parliament Constituencies and Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly Constituency in the district.

DEO told the observers that training classes on polling management have already been conducted for them by master trainers in several installments. Teams have been assigned to a total of 3986 polling centers within the 15 assembly segments of the district.

On this occasion, the process of randomization of micro observers was also completed.

Hyderabad District Collector, Returning Officer Anudeep Durishetti, Hyderabad Additional Collector Secunderabad Returning Officer Hemant Keshav Patil, Secunderabad Cantonment Assembly Returning Officer, CEO Madhukar Naik, Man Power Nodal Officer Upender Reddy and others participated in this program.

Meanwhile, of the 18,259 officers who opted to vote through postal ballot at the three Voter Facilitation Centers (VFCs) set up across the city, a total of 14,292 officers have exercised their right to vote. 481 senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) also cast their votes through home voting facility.

Moreover, seven persons engaged in essential services also cast their ballots. Postal ballot voting and home voting were conducted between May 3 and 10.
