PRARAMBH 2026 is a nationwide awareness campaign launched by the Ministry of Finance to prepare citizens for the rollout of the Income Tax Act, 2025, which comes into force from April 1, 2026. The initiative aims to simplify tax reforms, improve public understanding, and ensure a smooth transition to the new tax system.
PRARAMBH stands for Policy Reform and Responsible Action for Mission Viksit Bharat. Its core objective is to boost taxpayer awareness and encourage voluntary compliance by presenting tax-related information in a simple, accessible manner.
A key focus of the campaign is the upcoming Income Tax Act, 2025—a major reform designed to streamline processes, enhance transparency, and reduce complexity. PRARAMBH 2026 acts as a bridge between the law and taxpayers, helping individuals and businesses adapt to the new provisions without confusion.
The campaign uses a multi-channel outreach strategy, combining print, television, radio, digital platforms, and outdoor media. A major highlight is the introduction of digital tools like the AI-powered chatbot ‘Kar Saathi’, which provides real-time answers to tax queries, and the upgraded Income Tax Website 2.0, offering improved navigation and user-friendly services.
To ensure inclusivity, PRARAMBH 2026 delivers content in Hindi, English, and 10 regional languages. Interactive initiatives such as MyGov quizzes and public engagement programmes further make tax education engaging and accessible.
Overall, PRARAMBH 2026 marks a proactive step toward building trust, improving compliance, and empowering taxpayers ahead of one of India’s most significant tax reforms.
