The Ramoji Excellence Awards ceremony in Hyderabad celebrated remarkable achievers across India, with entrepreneur Srikanth Bolla receiving the Youth Icon Award for his inspiring journey rooted in resilience, inclusivity and sustainable enterprise.
Bolla, the Founder and Chairman of Bollant Industries, was recognised for championing eco-friendly manufacturing while creating livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities. Organisers praised him as a symbol of determination and a role model for socially responsible entrepreneurship.
Instituted in memory of media legend Cherukuri Ramoji Rao, the awards were presented in the presence of the Vice-President of India, the Telangana Governor and the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana—highlighting the national significance of the event.
Several other distinguished personalities were honoured, including academician Sathupati Prasanna Sree, who received the Excellence in Art and Culture Award for developing scripts for 19 tribal languages and preserving indigenous literary heritage. Awards also recognised contributions in rural development, women’s leadership, technology, humanitarian work and journalism.
The Youth Icon Award presented to Bolla underscores the importance of innovation rooted in social responsibility, offering young Indians powerful examples of leadership that blends business success with community impact.
