Schools in Telangana : After the summer vacation, schools across Telangana state are reopening today. The Telangana government has taken commendable steps to ensure a smooth reopening by allocating a special budget for the basic needs of schools, aimed at encouraging students, parents, and teachers.
Voruganti Anand, a member of the TG Food Commission, emphasized the importance of maintaining hygiene and safety in schools. He stated that classrooms, hostels, kitchen utensils, and water tanks should be thoroughly cleaned before use. Additionally, old kitchen items must be carefully inspected to avoid any risk of infestation, and appropriate measures should be taken to address any issues found.
To ensure the provision of quality and nutritious food to students, the menu and price list will be provided to cooking agencies. The actions will be taken in compliance with the Food Security Act of 2013.
The Department of Education, in collaboration with the BC, SC, Minority, Women, and Child Welfare Departments, has been instructed to issue these guidelines to the concerned officials to ensure adherence to these measures.
The Telangana government’s proactive approach aims to create a safe and conducive learning environment as students return to their academic routines.
