Massive Devotional Gatherings Mark Chaitra Amavasya and Ugadi Celebrations in Telangana
Sangareddy Witnesses Historic Shani Dev Darshan on Chaitra Amavasya**
Sangareddy, March 29, 2025 – A historic spiritual congregation unfolded at Shani Shakti Dham in Sangareddy’s Kandhi Mandal, Erdhanur, near Ganesh Gada, as over 20,000 devotees gathered for divine blessings on the auspicious occasion of Chaitra Amavasya.
The event, organized by Shani Shakti Dham Temple Founder Petadhipathi Sri Thakur Surya Pratap Singh Maharaj, along with upa Petadhipathi’s Sudheer Singh, Sunil Singh, and Shakti Singh, witnessed grand religious rituals, including a special Havan. Devotees participated in sacred ceremonies, culminating in the distribution of Ana Prasadam.
Several dignitaries, including Sangareddy MRO Vijayalakshmi, Patancheru AE Balakrishna, officials from the Rural Inspectors Department, and Deputy Tahsildar Mallesh, graced the event. Members of the Telangana Hindu Devalaya Goraksha Seva Samiti, social workers, and journalists also participated, marking it as one of the most significant spiritual gatherings in recent times.
Commencing at 4:00 AM and concluding at 7:00 PM, the program resonated with divine energy as devotees performed Shani pujas, seeking protection, prosperity, and spiritual upliftment. The overwhelming participation led to heavy traffic in the vicinity, but with the unwavering support of law enforcement and government agencies, the event was managed smoothly said by temple committee.
With the massive turnout, the gathering reaffirmed the devotees’ deep faith in Shani Dev and set the stage for future grand religious assemblies, strengthening spiritual traditions in the region.
Grand Ugadi Celebrations at Shakti Mantra Peetham, Nagole Bandlaguda
On the other day, Ugadi celebrations at Shakti Mantra Peetham, Nagole Bandlaguda, drew a huge crowd of devotees in a spiritually charged atmosphere. The highlight of the event was the installation of a magnificent 18-feet statue of Katyayani Durga Devi, symbolizing divine power and protection.
Led by Petadhipathi Thakur Surya Pratap Singh Maharaj, the celebrations included a special Havan, with longtime devotees actively participating in the sacred rituals. Many attendees expressed feeling deeply blessed and spiritually uplifted by the divine presence.
Ugadi, known as the New Year in several Indian states, including Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka, marks the beginning of a new Hindu lunar calendar. It symbolizes renewal, prosperity, and the start of auspicious events.
