Telangana’s sporting spirit was on full display as the state’s Kudo athletes delivered an extraordinary performance across three major national and international tournaments — the 16th Kudo National Tournament, the 6th Kudo Federation Cup, and the 17th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament.
The Kudo National Tournament and Federation Cup are among the most prestigious martial arts events in India, officially recognized by the Ministry of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of India, and organized under the aegis of the Kudo International Federation of India (KIFI). The tournaments bring together the finest athletes from every state, each representing their home region in the quest for national glory.
Adding an international flavor, the 17th Akshay Kumar International Kudo Tournament — promoted by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar — offered a grand platform for global martial artists to showcase their skills. This year’s edition was made even more special with the presence of Jackie Shroff and Dimple Kapadia, who joined Akshay Kumar in honoring the winners and celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship.
From fierce bouts to moments of pure discipline and respect, Team Telangana stood out with their remarkable talent, courage, and determination. Their medal-winning performances earned applause from spectators and recognition from sports authorities, solidifying Telangana’s growing reputation as a powerhouse in martial arts.
Speaking about the achievement, Kudo representatives praised the athletes’ hard work and commitment:
“Our players trained with immense dedication and represented Telangana with pride. These results are a reflection of their discipline, teamwork, and the growing sports culture in our state.”
With multiple medals and accolades, Team Telangana’s performance not only uplifted the state’s name on the national stage but also inspired a new generation of young athletes to take up martial arts as a means of fitness, confidence, and national representation.
