UAE Launches First Sovereign Mobility Cloud to Boost Autonomous Transport

The UAE has unveiled its first Sovereign Mobility Cloud at the Dubai World Congress for Self-Driving Transport 2025, marking a major leap in autonomous mobility. Developed with Core42’s Sovereign Public Cloud and powered by Microsoft Azure, the platform ensures all transport-related data is stored within the UAE under national laws, prioritizing safety, compliance, and innovation.

The cloud supports real-time traffic management, fleet tracking, telematics, high-definition mapping, and digital twins, creating a secure ecosystem for driverless vehicles. It also includes regulatory sandboxes and test hubs to encourage innovation.

Space42, which leads deployment, has already tested autonomous mobility through its TXAI service, logging over 600,000 km and 20,000 passenger trips without incidents. The initiative strengthens collaboration between regulators, industry, and academia while positioning the UAE as a global leader in intelligent and secure transport infrastructure.
