Mann Ki Baat Completes 11 Years: A Symbol of People’s Voices and Aspirations

New Delhi, October 3, 2025: Mann Ki Baat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio address, has completed 11 years since its first broadcast on 3 October 2014, coinciding with Vijayadashami. What began as a simple radio outreach has today transformed into a symbol of citizen-government dialogue, connecting the Prime Minister directly with millions across the nation.

Over the years, Mann Ki Baat has gone beyond being just a broadcast, expanding its reach from All India Radio to television channels like DD National and DD News, ensuring accessibility even in the remotest corners of India. By September 2025, the programme had aired 126 episodes, covering diverse themes of social change, culture, environment, and community-driven initiatives.

The Prime Minister often describes listeners as the “real anchors” of the show, highlighting stories of grassroots heroes and citizen contributions. From Swachh Bharat to environmental conservation and women empowerment, several national campaigns have drawn inspiration and momentum from this platform.

As Mann Ki Baat enters its 12th year, it remains more than a programme — it is a reflection of India’s collective spirit, aspirations, and the power of dialogue in shaping the nation’s journey forward.
