India Unveils Logo for National Maritime Heritage Complex at India Maritime Week 2025

The Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways unveiled the official logo of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) during the India Maritime Week 2025 celebrations in Mumbai, marking a defining moment in India’s mission to preserve and promote its 5,000-year-old maritime legacy.

Celebrating India’s Maritime Legacy

The NMHC, to be developed at Lothal, Gujarat—the site of one of the world’s oldest dockyards—aims to showcase India’s journey from ancient maritime trade routes to modern naval strength.
The new logo embodies India’s maritime pride and innovation, bridging history with contemporary vision.

About the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC)

  • Location: Lothal, Gujarat
  • Features: Immersive museums, digital galleries, marine archaeology zones, shipbuilding heritage displays, and tourism zones.
  • Objective: To create a global hub for maritime education, cultural tourism, and heritage research.
