The SATHEE App, developed by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, is a free digital learning platform designed to help students prepare for major competitive examinations in India. The platform provides high-quality educational resources such as video lectures, mock tests, study materials, and previous years’ question papers, making exam preparation more accessible to students across the country.
SATHEE, which stands for Self Assessment Test and Help for Entrance Exams, aims to support students preparing for key national-level examinations including JEE, NEET, CUET, CLAT, SSC, RRB, IBPS, and ICAR entrance exams. The learning content available on the platform is created by experts from IITs and other reputed institutions, ensuring high academic standards.
The app offers several useful features to improve exam readiness, including structured video lessons, practice assessments, and multilingual study resources. These tools allow students to evaluate their performance and strengthen their understanding of important subjects.
Recently, an AI-enabled version of the SATHEE platform was introduced at the India AI Impact Summit 2026, where it was featured in the “Real World Impact of AI in Education” casebook. The upgraded version aims to enhance personalized learning and track student progress using artificial intelligence.
A key objective of the SATHEE App is to support students from economically weaker sections who may not be able to afford expensive coaching institutes. By providing free, high-quality learning resources, the platform helps bridge the educational gap and enables more students to prepare effectively for competitive exams.
