Hyderabad – Dr. Yadagiri Kambhampati, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, has been awarded a Ph.D. in Journalism and Mass Communication by Osmania University. His research focused on “Promotional Strategies in the Telugu Film Industry: A Case Study,” under the guidance of Prof. K. Nageshwar, former MLC and retired professor at Osmania University.
A native of Nerada Village in Chityal Mandal, Nalgonda District, Dr. Yadagiri has been instrumental in enhancing the quality of courses offered in journalism, mass communication, and public relations at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University. In addition to his academic contributions, he is also serving his second term as secretary of the Hyderabad Chapter of the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) for 2024-2026.
Dr. Yadagiri has been actively involved with *Public Relations Voice* journal since 2011, initially as Editorial Assistant and currently as Honorary Correspondent. He has also contributed numerous articles to the journal.
On the occasion of receiving his Ph.D., Dr. Yadagiri was congratulated by university authorities, PRSI members, family, friends, and colleagues. In a statement, PRSI praised Dr. Yadagiri’s dedication and commitment to his profession, noting his rise from humble beginnings to earning his doctoral degree through hard work and perseverance.
Dr. Yadagiri continues to make significant contributions to the field of journalism and public relations, both through his academic work and active involvement in professional organizations.
