Hyderabad, March 24:
In a significant academic recognition, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad, has nominated Mr. Shashank Pasupuleti, alumnus of the university’s 2022–24 batch and founder of SK Group Connections, as a Member of the Departmental Committee for the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication under the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The appointment, made by the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of BRAOU, will be for a tenure of two years, according to official proceedings issued by the Directorate of Academics of the University.
As per the notification, Mr. Pasupuleti has been inducted into the academic body in recognition of his professional exposure, contribution to journalism, and association with the institution. The membership is stated to be honorary in nature, with eligible travel and daily allowances to be provided in accordance with university norms whenever departmental meetings are convened.
The Departmental Committee plays a crucial role in advising on academic curriculum development, departmental policy decisions, student enrichment initiatives, and strengthening industry-academia collaboration within the Journalism and Mass Communication discipline.
This nomination is viewed as a prestigious milestone both for Mr. Pasupuleti and for young professionals representing alumni leadership in academic governance. University officials have requested formal acceptance of the nomination at the earliest to enable his participation in upcoming committee proceedings.
