Chandigarh University has become India’s first private university to establish an IndiaAI Data Lab in collaboration with Intel India. The initiative aims to strengthen Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, and Machine Learning education by providing students with hands-on learning opportunities and industry-oriented training.
The state-of-the-art facility, launched at the University Institute of Computing (UIC), will serve as an innovation and learning hub where students can work on real-world projects, participate in hackathons, earn industry certifications, and gain practical exposure to emerging technologies. The lab is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements, helping students develop future-ready skills.
The IndiaAI Data Lab will support AI research, data science applications, machine learning projects, collaborative innovation, and faculty development programs. It will also provide access to advanced computing resources and AI-enabled tools, enabling students to build professional portfolios and enhance their employability.
Intel India has played a key role in establishing the lab as part of its broader mission to develop an AI-ready workforce in the country. The collaboration highlights the growing importance of partnerships between educational institutions and technology companies in preparing talent for the digital economy.
The launch of the IndiaAI Data Lab marks a significant step toward advancing AI education in India and empowering students with the practical skills needed to succeed in the rapidly evolving technology sector.
