Lockup Death in Nalgonda District : In Devarakonda, a big issue has come up at the Chintapalli Police Station because of a land dispute between two brothers. This problem got even bigger when Vasantha Nayak, a leader from Congress, got involved after Surya Nayak from Palem Tanda made a complaint against him. Things took a serious turn when Surya Nayak, while answering questions at the police station, suddenly fell ill with chest pain and had to be rushed to Devarakonda Government Hospital. The family claims it was a Lockup Death .
Unfortunately, Surya Nayak didn’t make it and died of a heart attack while getting treated. The police have shown CCTV footage which reveals that Surya Nayak had gone to the hospital by himself. The situation got heated at night when Surya Nayak’s family stopped the doctors from doing the post-mortem, accusing Congress leader Vasantha Nayak and SI Satish Reddy of plotting against Surya Nayak.
“SI Satish Reddy has come out saying that Surya Nayak death was not a Lockup Death. ” . He explained that Surya Nayak and his son had gone to the hospital by themselves, as Surya Nayak was very stressed and had high blood pressure.
But Surya Nayak family and relatives stated that it is an custodial death.
After these serious claims, SI Satish Reddy has been moved to the district headquarters as per the SP’s orders. Now, senior police officers are thoroughly investigating this case to find out the truth.
